Master of the Home Triptych Madonna and Child between Two Female Saints, 1310s, tempera on panel
The triptych was thought to be the work of the Master of St. Cecilia. Starting from this artist’s environment, the researcher Richard Offner differentiated a personality whom he referred to as the Master of the Horne Triptych. In any event, it is still a disciple of the Master of St. Cecilia, who is said to have been hardworking in the first half of the 14th century and who demonstrates some Sienese influence as well as a strong predisposition toward what will become Giottesque painting.
